Chris' track record includes a £120M IPO, material petroleum reserve and resource increases for multiple companies through a combination of acquisitions and project execution. Chris has a demonstrated ability to derisk early‑stage assets, scale operations, and create the systems and culture required for sustainable enterprise growth.
His technical foundation is as a reservoir engineer with expertise in reserves estimation, production forecasting and economic analysis. His experience spans projects in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, USA, New Zealand, UK North Sea, Cuba and Oman.

He holds a PhD in sequence stratigraphy and sedimentology and is recognised as a technical authority in clastic and carbonate systems, with extensive experience in fold‑and‑thrust belts, rift basins, passive margins and pre‑salt plays.
Duncan is a proven leader of multidisciplinary teams, with deep experience implementing technical governance frameworks, peer review, subsurface standards, and capability development programs. He is skilled at setting geoscience strategy, ensuring technical excellence, and integrating subsurface insights into commercial and operational decision‑making.
Duncan has an extensive track record delivering impactful technical interpretations, play‑based exploration strategies, volumetrics, risking methodologies, and regional studies supporting business growth.
International portfolio experience includes Australia, Cuba, Kurdistan, Yemen, UAE, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, New Zealand and Uruguay.
